Taking a dip in the pool is a great way to have a gentle and refreshing workout that is oh-so-kind to your joints. Low impact workouts like working out in the pool will help you feel refreshed in the summer months and it’s a FUN way to burn calories and get moving!
Come on in, the water is fine, y’all! If you find yourself poolside, take it as an opportunity to turn it into a fun and mild, water aerobic workout! First, a word from Ashley! Take it away, Ash! “Hey sweeties!! Do you often find yourself bobbing around the pool, watching the kids, talking with friends? No better time to get a quick workout in! This circuit will have you feelin’ fine in no time! Start by swimming a lap and then complete the following, followed by another lap! How many rounds can you go?”

1) 10 Triceps Dips
2) 20 flutter kicks
3) 10 squats- push your arms back as you stand for full body engagement!
4) Run a lap
5) 12 Ab tucks
6) 10 push-ups
There are plenty of benefits to getting fit in the water, y’all! It helps build endurance, increase flexibility, helps alleviate pressure on the joints, helps reduce stress. The list can go on and on, Sweeties!
Sweet tip!: Make sure you stay hydrated before, during, and after your water workout. That is super important, y’all!
