We're all about healthy livin' so we put together our favorite healthy iced tea recipes for you! Keep pitchers of cold tea in your fridge and no one will be reaching for the soda or sugary juices, we promise. They are way more delicious AND free of added sugar! The only sweetness comes from our pre-sweetened sweet tea and the fruit. Which, as y'all are about to see, are SO healthy. Ginger Lemon Iced Tea

It’s spicy, sweet, AND healthy. The tangy flavor is perfect for a hot day. What makes it healthy? Ginger is known to aid digestion and lemon is full of vitamin C and antioxidants! Get rid of the juices and sodas and fill your fridge with pitchers of this refreshing and healthy drink!

Ingredients (makes one quart of tea)

  • 5-inch piece of ginger, peeled and sliced (you can use a microplane zester)
  • ½ lemon, juice and zest
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tea bag Southern Breeze Family-Size Half & Half Sweet Tea (half tea, half lemonade)
  • Fresh mint and lemon slices (optional)
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Boil water and add tea bag to brew.
  2. Combine ginger and lemon zest and add to brewing tea.
  3. Once tea is brewed, remove tea bag. Cover pot, turn off heat, and steep for 30 minutes.
  4. Stain the ginger pieces using a sieve and pour the tea into a pitcher.
  5. Place pitcher in fridge to cool. Serve over ice and garnish with mint and lemon slices (optional).

Strawberry Basil Iced Tea

Strawberries are full of antioxidants and basil contains polyphenols and vitamins! Together, they are positively delicious, y'all!

Ingredients (makes 1 quart of tea)

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to boil and add tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes.
  2. Boil 1 cup of water in a separate saucepan. Remove from heat. Add basil and steep for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain the 1 cup of boiled water and basil mixture over the strawberries in a bowl. Toss well. Let the strawberries cool.
  4. Combine strawberries with tea in a pitcher and refrigerate.
  5. Serve over ice, garnish with extra basil (optional).

Lemongrass Mint Iced Tea

Lemongrass has the same fragrance as a lemon, but is slightly milder and has a bit of a sweeter taste. It may aid digestion (making it a great after-dinner addition), it has antioxidants, and some studies show it might help control blood pressure and cholesterol levels! Plus, it has Vitamin A and C, which are great for hair and skin. Combine it with mint for a refreshing iced tea!

Ingredients (makes 1 quart of tea)

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups of boiled water to a boil and add tea bag.
  2. Add lemongrass and mint to the brewing tea.
  3. Let sit for 5 minutes, then remove tea bag.
  4. Pour mixture into pitcher and refrigerate until cold.
  5. Pour over ice and serve.

Raspberry Peach Iced Tea

Raspberries aren't just a tasty treat, they're full of antioxidants and vitamin C, too! Peaches contain potassium, calcium, magnesium, and fiber...loaded with goodness! Make a pitcher or Raspberry Peach Iced Tea with our Peach Sweet Tea for an extra peachy punch of flavor.

Ingredients (makes 1 quart of tea)

  • 1 tea bag Southern Breeze Peach Family-Size Sweet Tea
  • 1 cup raspberries, sliced
  • 1 peach, sliced
  • 4 cups of water
  • Mint leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil and steep tea bags for 5 minutes. Remove tea bag and let the tea cool.
  2. In blender, combine the peach and raspberries and blend until smooth. Strain the mixture through a sieve.
  3. Whisk brewed tea and fruit mixture in a pitcher. Place in fridge until cold.
  4. Serve over ice with mint leaves to garnish (optional).

Y’all can use pretty much any fruit and add it to your iced sweet tea. But what are the best fruits for healthy livin’? These are our favorites – they’re super tasty, naturally sweet, AND all full of nutritious vitamins and minerals!

Grapefruit

Grapefruit is fresh and delicious, plus it's loaded with health benefits. Studies show grapefruit contains vitamins, minerals, and might aid weight loss and reduce cholesterol levels!

Pineapple

Pineapple is the perfect fruit for sweet livin'! It also contains vitamin C and manganese, as well as enzymes with anti-inflammatory properties.

Blueberries

Who doesn't love picking blueberries? Luckily, they're high in vitamin C, vitamin K, and manganese. And they'er absolutely full of antioxidants! 

Pomegranate
