Festive Farmhouse Table Décor
Sweeties, Thanksgiving is upon us if you can believe it and it’s time think about the second most important thing about the thanksgiving table (food being the first!)…decorations! Thanksgiving is not only about giving thanks and celebrating with the ones you love, it’s also about showing off your creative skills to wow your dinner guests as they feast!
You may have zero time to go and buy new table decor since you’re busy whipping Turkey Day dinner in the kitchen. Who has the time!? And maybe you aren’t the best at tedious DIY projects-don’t worry!
While thinking of decorations can be overwhelming, decorating the table can be simple and you may even be able to use items that you already have available in the home! We here at Southern Breeze have some easy peasy ways you can turn your Thanksgiving dining table into a beautiful rustic farmhouse tablescape that your guests will love. Let’s get to our farmhouse Thanksgiving table décor how-to!
Burlap:
Break out the burlap y’all! Burlap is traditionally used in packaging but over the past few years it’s gotten trendy and even more versatile, Sweeties! Don’t ya just love it? Burlap makes the top of our list when it comes to Southern decorating, especially during the holiday season! If you are in a bind for festive decorations, reach in your craft kit for some burlap you may already have on hand.
There is no need to spend more money than you need to on a costly tablecloth or table running that will only be used once or twice a year. Adding inexpensive burlap adds a subtle and traditional touch to your décor! If you are creating a table runner, just make sure the burlap extends about 12 inches over the ends of your table to make the table look elongated.
Sweet Tip! Add a lace tablecloth or table runner ontop of the burlap cloth for a softer touch that will be oh-so-darling!
Wreathes:
Now that we have the tablecloth all ready, finding a centerpiece can be easy to find too! If you have a full fall wreath already hanging on your front door or a spare one you are itchin’ to put to use, they can make wonderful and elegant centerpieces! Who would have thought of that?! Sign us up!
Make sure there is a spot in the center of the table large enough for the wreath. Lay the lush wreath flat in the center of the table- and that’s it! Just be sure that there is enough space for your turkey and side dishes! Watch your guests marvel over the leaves, the colors, and the branches of the wreath as you feast on your Turkey Day dinner!
Lying the wreath flat will allow you to fill the center of the wreath other décor like a large candle, a bunch of smaller candles, lights, or a vase filled with flowers! The additions are endless with this décor tip! It’s super easy and super affordable too!
Pumpkins:
This tip is pretty and perfect as a pumpkin! Have pumpkins from Halloween that are still sittin’ on your doorstep? Before they turn soft and mushy or they are tossed in the garbage, add them to your Thanksgiving tablescape! Pumpkins add cheerful fall color and they are small enough where you can line the table with them and can fit around the wreath centerpiece. The oranges and white colors of the pumpkins can really pull the rustic farmhouse look together!
Smaller pumpkins can be placed on your guest’s dinner plates and used as seat nametags! Just take out a thin marker and neatly write their name on the pumpkin. Careful not to smudge it! Wouldn’t that just be the cutest?
Sweet Tip! Hallow the pumpkin out by scooping out the center and add fresh flowers to it for a unique fall look! It’s an easy DIY Thanksgiving vase y’all!
Mason Jars:
Nothin’ says rustic farmhouse style like mason jars do! Let us tell ya,mason jars can be used for just about anything: fill them with flowers, bright LED lights, and of course… the color variety of Southern Breeze Sweet Tea! Mason jars hold a special place in our hearts, they are a southern tradition y’all! Mason jars will always have a place on our Thanksgiving table!

After you set the scene for Thanksgiving dinner, kick back and enjoy a glass of zero calorie Southern Breeze Sweet Tea and toast to a job well done!
