Sweet Tea Popsicle Recipe
July is filled with red, white and blue everything and lots of hot weather. Sometimes the temperatures are so hot that even the coldest beverages cannot provide much relief. (even an iced cold glass of SBST!)
I have found the tasty and sugar free way to keep the kids AND adults nice and cool for those summer outdoor cookouts with refreshing Patriotic Sweet Tea Popsicles; made with SBST! These are such a crowd pleaser and super simple to make. You will only need a few ingredients- SBST and fresh fruit! Make sure everyone eats them quickly before they melt in the scorching heat!
Here's what you will need:
- Popsicle molds
- Your favorite Southern Breeze Sweet Tea flavors! For mine I used SBST Decaf, SBST Half and SBST Raspberry- brewed and cooled
- 1 cup of fresh raspberries (can add strawberries too!)
- 1 cup fresh blueberries (can add blackberries as well)
- About 20 mint leaves
- A food processor or something similar
- Red and blue food coloring (optional)
Here's what you do:
Raspberry Popsicles:
- Puree the raspberries
- Add 2-3 cups of the raspberry flavored SBST to the food processor and mix together
- Add red food coloring if desired
- Mix together until well combined
- Pour the raspberry mixture into 1/3 of your molds. Make sure you are filling your molds to the top of the mold.
- Clean processor
Blueberry Popsicles:
- Puree the blueberries
- Add 2-3 cups of the SBST decaf (or a flavor of your choosing) to the blueberry puree
- Add blue food coloring if desired
- Mix together until well combined
- Pour the blueberry mixture into 1/3 of your molds
- Clean food processor
Half & Half Popsicles:
- Puree the mint leaves until they are in super tiny pieces
- Add 2-3 cups of the Half(lemon) SBST
- Mix together until well combined
- Pour into the remaining third of your molds
- Place your molds in your freezer overnight
- Take the molds out and sit on your counter for a few minutes before serving so the molds are easier to remove
Enjoy!
