How To Host Football Sunday

How To Host Football Sunday

Y’all, before laying out your favorite jersey in preparation for the big game this weekend, keep in your mind that your guests are coming over for fun AND expected to be fed! So treat your guests right and make sure they leave with a full tummy after they celebrate wintertime’s most beloved game-day tradition! The Super Bowl!

First, you are going to want to have the Southern Breeze Sweet Tea on tap. So what better way to keep glasses full than to create a sweet tea bar with a big glass dispenser of your favorite Southern Breeze flavor? Hey, with all the cheering and excitement, everyone will need their thirst quenched, guilt free!

Whip up an easy sweet tea bar in minutes:

1 bar cart or table

1 big glass dispenser

2 packs of paper straws

5 bags of ice (lots-o-ice y’all!)

1 box of your favorite Southern Breeze Sweet Tea flavor

AND your mason jars, don’t forget them!

Now that your cheering sections’ thirst will be quenched for the evening, something to snack on!

Here are our favorite game day snacks:

Fool Proof Guacamole for Cinco de Mayo...and Beyond!

No game day is complete without a fresh bowl of guacamole! From the avocados to the salty, crunchy tortilla chips, guests will be wanting more with every scoop! Our pal Tara Butler from Lace and Grace has the low down. See the recipe here.

Gotta have the cheese!

Big game days need cheese and  lots of it. Just picture it: a gooey dip that you can really sink some freshly baked bread from the market into. Soak it in! All you need is three ingredients for our go-to dip. How easy is that!? Grab your cream cheese, pimiento cheese, chop up some green onions and there you have it. Christy Jordan has the perfect recipe and you can even make it low carb, win-win y’all!

We could go on and on Sweeties!

Oh, let’s not forget some smaller, yet important tips for hosting:

  • Make sure your TV is ready and working properly.
  • The heat shouldn’t be up too high-with all the cheering, it will get hot quickly so keep a cool temp in the house.
  • Use your kitchen sink and fill it with ice to keep beverages cool.
  • Set mood lighting in your living room.
  • Keep a cleaning kit nearby for spills, don’t forget about the carpet cleaner too!
  • Take a sweet sip and have “you time” before your guests arrive! That’s most important.

Happy game day y’all!
