Chocolate Pairings

Chocolate Pairings

At Southern Breeze, our eyes light up when goodies are around because we can count our calories elsewhere when sippin’ on our zero calorie sweet tea! With all the chocolates from Valentine’s Day, we can’t help but to dream of yummy chocolate pairings. Everyone knows that chocolate taste best with strawberries (chocolate covered strawberries? YES!). But there are so many other foods chocolate can be best paired with! Below are some of our most favorite pairing suggestions.

White Chocolate:

Pairing white chocolate with foods can be a tad tricky because of its delicate flavor. The rich notes of white chocolate can really bring out the flavors of the foods below. Sweet Tip! White chocolate pairs well with tangy fruits and almost acts like classic whipped cream!

Here are our favorites to pair with white chocolate:

Sea Salt Caramel

Agave nectar

Lemongrass

Wasabi

Lemon

*To pair white chocolate with sweet tea, try some Lemon Southern Breeze Sweet Tea!

Milk Chocolate:

Ahhh Milk Chocolate, it's like a scoop of heaven ain’t it? Milk chocolate is smooth, creamy and complements pound cake unbelievably very well. It’s also a match made in heaven with fruits y’all. You can even cover bacon (YES, BACON!) in Milk Chocolate for a sweet and salty taste! So lay that chocolate on thick darlin’.

Our top foods to pair with milk chocolate are:

Caramel

Honey

Lavender

Curry Powder

Raspberries

*Pair milk chocolate with our Raspberry Southern Breeze and take your taste buds on a tasty journey!

Dark Chocolate:

Dark and semi-sweet chocolates are best with sweet, rich flavors like cheesecake, coconut cake, or other fruits! Dark chocolate is so versatile because it’s flavor is not overly sweet. Match this chocolate with bolder flavors to really make the tastes pop!

We loooove pairing dark chocolate with…

Ginger

Mint

Chipotle

Jalapeno

Cinnamon

*Try pairing dark chocolate with our Original Southern Breeze Sweet Tea flavor!

So there you have it y’all. What do you dare to pair with chocolate? Tell us in the comments below your favorite chocolate pairing!
